These harnesses are fantastic! I have a very mischievous cat who has managed to escape from every harness I ever bought him…until I found the travel cat harness. The harness stays on him all day and he’s still able to comfortable run around and play as he normally would. Would highly recommend.

This harness has taken the stress out of "walking" my two-year-old, 12-plus-lbs. cat. More accurately, it's taken the stress out of the cat walking me. Either way, it's a lifesaver for both of us. Once "Cooke's" into it (more on that in a moment), there's no way he can back out of it. So I don't worry about keeping him in front of me all the time. He also responds well when I tighten up on the leash to keep us both out of trouble; when, for instance, he wants to go somewhere where I can't follow, like under our deck. (I tried using a conventionally designed harness before I tried this one, and my efforts to redirect my strong-willed -- and strong -- cat led to much growling, hissing, and attempted Houdini acts.) The "once he's into it" part is the challenge with this harness. I've only used it a couple of times so far and Cookie hasn't been very helpful (not at all helpful, actually) about putting his feet through it, which is first "step" to getting him into it. I'm hopeful he'll eventually figure out that this harness is not a toy and that the sooner I get him into it, the sooner we get to go out.
